I was looking many videos about rainforest in youtube when I found this beautiful song. It is talking about different things of the rainforest.

PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE IN THE AMAZON

-         Hello I’m Marta

-         Hi, how can I help you?

-         I was walking in the park when I looked a TV ad about a photography course in the Amazon and I thought I would like to subscribe it.

-         Yes! It is amazing! We have a special offer for our first client, and this are you, it is free.

-         It is great!

-         Ok, tomorrow you take a plane to the Amazon. You will go to the airport at five o’clock.

-         Ok, good. Thanks for all.

-         You’re welcome, Bye.

-         Good Bye.

Next day, Marta woke up and she was very excited. She came to the airport and she waited the plane. While she was in the plane, a girl the same age that she, said:

-         Hello, I’m Silvia I think that come at the same course of photography. You’re Marta, true?

-         Yes, this is me!

-         Do you know that we sleep together in the same shelter?

-         No, anyone warned me, but well I seem good this.

-         Ok, I see you later!

More later when the plane to land Marta and Silvia saw the rainforest. “It is beautiful” thought the girls. Then, they went to sleep to their shelter.

The days passed very quickly and Silvia and Marta talked a lot and they got to be good friends. One day they want to went to saw the reserve.

When they arrived in the reserve, they saw all kind of monkeys. But there was special ones that they like more, it was little and beautiful. Then arrived the director of the reserve went to Marta and Silvia and, he saw that they were very excited. They were looking the little monkey, he said:

-         It is beautiful but we must have to close the reserve and the monkeys will leave, and probably they will died.

In this moment, the girls watched the monkey and they smiled. Then Silvia said:

-         Can we to take a Monkey with as to Barcelona?

-         Yes it is great idea! Good luck!

They went out of reserve with the monkey, and, they thought that, It was the time to back to Barcelona.

-         First, we must think a name! – Said Marta

-         Yes! Does it seem good Kiko? – answered Silvia

-         Ok it is very funny!- said Marta while Silvia was laughing

When the plane to land at Barcelona Marta and Silvia were very happy for all the adventures that they had happened in the Amazon. Suddenly Marta asked to Silvia:

-         Can you come to my house this afternoon? We must decide what we have to do with Kiko! We can’t take care of him in our house!

-         Yes it is true! – Answered Silvia – Ok, I’m arriving to your house at fife o’clock, does it seem good?

-         Ok, it is perfect for me! Bye!

In the afternoon Silvia went to Marta’s house and they thought that they can build a place where Kiko and other chimpanzees of the reserve can live until a family adopts them. They talked with the president and the reserve’s director and they thought that it was a great idea. Silvia and Marta were very glad because they can help the chimpanzees.

Now, two years later, Silvia and Marta work at their reserve of chimpanzees and often they think of this journey that changed their life.

A little piece of Iron

This is a story of Iron, it was started three years ago, when our professor, said, we did a research project.

Mònica I and didn’t have any idea for this project and we decided worked together.

Next day we went to the library for research any ideas. We stayed here a lot of time and finally we decided went to the Amazon rainforest, for a different experience of the rest.

Monica and i we went to the airport, two days later, and we toke and airplane. We landed 15 hours later. We arrived to our hotel but it saids we didn’t made a reserve our rooms.

Then we made auto stop, for return to airport but no one stopped, only one native but he didn’t talk only simply did them a signal because they followed it. We was Scared but we followed it. For our surprise we arrived a research of animals, it name is Knowin. There anybody understood them, until it found one a gorilla carer that her name is Susan. She we invited to made a tour for all natural reserve.

We went to the jeeps and we started.

We were watched a lot of animals: Giraffes, crocodiles, lions, tigers... and Monkeys I gorillas.

All were beautiful, but there was one that caught our attention more, his name is Iron. This was lost in the rainforest when they escape of the hunters. This day, he lost his mother. And today, he is abandoned and he hasn’t any family. And from that day he are very sad, and he cry old night.

Monica and Dafne, returned to Barcelona at the next day, because they have an idea for research project.

Because any gorilla never feel at the same of the Iron.

The climate is warm and humid throughout the year. It is also stable. It has very warm days with beautiful mornings full of sunshine. Late afternoon brings thunderstorms,  with heavy rainfall. It is almost always raining  in a rainforest.  The range of temperature  in a tropical rainforest is usually between 75o F and 80o F (24-27o C). It never freezes  and never gets very hot .

MOU

We present in a competition of questions at Cambridge where you could win a travel to 3-day in the Amazon jungle. At the begining we thought we couldn't win, but at the end everything changed. We went to the last question tied of points with the opponent. And we won the tiebreaker.

When we back to Barcelona, we received the tickets from airline destination Rio de Janeiro. The day is approaching and we were very nservou to go, was a new and exciting experience, we liked (it will be fun). Finally the day came when we were going to the Amazon!!! The travel was very long and very tired, but it was worth it.

When we arrived in Rio de Janeiro we took the car until we reach the shelter of a tribe in the Amazon and the next day, we were proposed in that we had to take care of a gorilla, which is called Mou, the children we got really excited.

The Gorilla was very nice was covered with hair and looked like a teddy bear, we started laughing when they give it to us.

The first thing it did when it was put in our hands was piss on ourselves. Caregivers  told us that it and we were unknown but at the end it will get used. How we arrived at the bungalow that was the place where we would spend the night went to jump on the bed because it was so small we gave a baby bottle that had been prepared, the caregivers. Almost swallowed in one sip. And then still wanted to repeat.I was numb, indeed we were and it felt a sleep. Indeed we felt a sleep.

The next day we found when we woke up that it had disappeared, it was not there   ( was here where he started the adventure) ...

The first thing we did was notify the caretaker, but more difficult was, to get connection, but at the end we could phone. After what we did was look for some place where it could hide . With the help of the caretaker what we did was to try to find any trace that it indicate the way, but to find a monkey in the middle of a jungle is very complicated. Somebody said that it likes climbing, so we had to look up, but the vegetation was so dense that was very difficult to see it.

-Perf! There, there! - Called one of the caregivers.

-Is there going to find it, 'said one fellow.

But at that moment "move" was well named as he had fledback behind her and us.

Suddenly we heard a noise and we were petrified. And suddenly a giant Gorilla s'ens crossed the middle of thepath, seeking to "move" in and then you "move" without the neck pulled away, what luck. but the worst was yet to come, the gorilla went at full speed towards us. And beforea meter tocarnos not one of the caregivers who understandthis issue very Ferla was a kind of gesture that made himbe quiet at the moment. Then we called the breeding of gorillas doing some kind of noise that seemed to tears. and then we discovered that the gorilla was his mother and hehad to return. we were thinking for a while and the bigGorilla was increasingly angry that we had to give upfarming. was a very exciting and even a caregiver began tocry, because it was over a year that you were looking for a new family in the small gorilla. and finally we will find hermother. was a fun day and very tired the next day we hadwhen we aixecarnos we find the gorilla at the door of thebungalow playing with his mother, sels looked very happy.We did a magnificent farewell. even us aixercar hand to say goodbye.

Marc, Cesc and Jaka

One day two friends, Marc and Cesc, decided to travel to the Amazon because we found it could be a beautiful place to visit and learn more about the world. We went there by plane from Barcelona airport to Brazil, the trip was long but beautiful because we were first class. On arriving there, the bus came to pick them up, and took them to a 4 star hotel. The next day we went to visit Rio de Janeiro, there was a museum of Amazon rainforest, we felt it could be interesting. Then we decided to go to the jungle. We find an agency safaris, we said the safari out on Saturday (and it was Thursday). We went to buy things to go to the jungle. On Friday we took the suitcase and relax. On Saturday went to the agency, from there came to the Amazon.

Once there, a guide, approximately 25 years, guiding them to the shelter to be had that night. The next day the two friends went to see the rainforest with a guide. But suddenly they found a desforestadors who were cutting trees, the two friends saw it and ran to tell them that they could not do that because they were destroying the environment and animals could not live without. Then they, see to your left, an orangutan who seemed very small newborn birds. The two friends decided that as there could not live with that state, was adopted. The guide said he had followed the tour but the two friends the next day and they refused because they wanted to go to Barcelona to stay the orangutan.

The next day the two friends went to the airport in Rio de Janeiro. They took the flight faster than it was after 11 hours were already in Barcelona. They were well aware that when you make big orangutan could not care for it but what they did. When they arrived home with his new friend thought they should get a name. They are about an hour to decide which sells long and finally got him Jaka. The orangutan was very intelligent, so when he heard the name he sold two strong abrasive. And so  the two friend shave a new friend and very special.

BILLY AND US

In a school in Barcelona there was a group of 2nd Eso students who were going on a trip to New York. They had won a quiz show on TV and the prize was a weekend in New York... Wonderful!!!

In the class there were two students: Emma and Bruna. The day they had to travel to New York, they woke up late so they didn’t arrive on time at the airport. They couldn’t find their classmates and a flight attendant told them that they had missed the flight. So they decided to board on the next plane. When they got off the plane, they felt very surprised to see so many plants, trees and wild animals. They thought that it was a joke. Actually, Emma and Bruna were in the Rainforest of Amazonia. Bruna began to laugh: - I’m sure it’s a trick. – says Bruna. - I'm not so sure… - answers Emma. While they were walking through the forest they suddenly heard a strange noise. There was a monkey lying on the ground. It was wounded. They thought he was about to die. But it wasn’t. The monkey looked at them while it was complaining. So they decided to help it. –Let’s give him a name! - said Emma -What about “Monkey? – she asked to Bruna. –That’s very original! - said Bruna ironically. –What do you propose then? - said Emma offended. -First we should know if it’s a male or a female? – said Bruna. -It’s a male! - answered Emma.

-Do you like Billy? – said Bruna. –Oh! Yes. It's a good name! Suddenly, a man appeared and told them that he was looking for them. He explained that their parents, their teachers and friends were very worried. Before leaving the Rainforest, they decided to save Billy and take him to Barcelona.

When they arrived in Barcelona, they took him to the zoo. The monkeys keeper accepted to take care of him.

The next day, they and their classmates went to see Billy at the zoo. He was safe and they were happy for having helped Billy.

Bruna and Emma

A special monkey

Anna and I were on holidays. We travelled to the Amazon rainforest. It was the first time that we travelled here and we were surprised!

When we arrived at the airport in Colombia, Mike, Anna’s friend, took us to a small camp near the Amazon rain forest. That landscape was the best we had seen. It was amazing. All the big trees, a little river near the camp, that environment was spectacular. Anna and I slept that night with two more girls, Maria and Selena. They accompanied us in the Amazon during all the travel. 

Next morning, we woke up at six o’clock and we took a big bag with food, maps, a camera, and other essential things. Mike drove the car to the Amazon. After thirty minutes, we arrived in a big rainforest! It was the Amazon!  After that we started walking into the center of the rainforest. 

The first animal that we saw was a snake!  It was little but we were scared! Then the second animal that we saw was an exotic Parrot, the parrot was orange, red, yellow and a lot of more colors! It was fascinating. During that day we saw a lot of new animals that we had never seen. And that night Maria, Mike, Selena, and as, slept in a beautiful  tent.

Next day we continued walking. This day was amazing because we found a lot of monkeys! There was a monkey that didn’t stop throwing fruit. And all-time the monkey was laughing. Five minutes later we were walking when the monkey appear.  The monkey followed us.  This monkey was special. We gave him the name of Maica. The next day, we met again. We loved that monkey. The day to return to Barcelona arrived. We didn’t want it. But we had to return. When we were in Barcelona we were sad. But it was a great experience!

GIMP MY GORILLA FRIEND

Èric and Laura went to the program TV “the wheel of fortune”. We won lots of money and we used it to go on a trip to the Amazonian rainforest. In summer, Èric and Laura went to the rainforest. One day, they were lost in the Amazon and Laura said: - Look this monkey is very funny. - Yes, it’s true - Èric said – The monkey jumped from tree to tree and he got lost into the rainforest. The two friends decided to follow him. While, Èric was taking photos: animals, plants, waterfalls… The monkey led us to the house where Èric and Laura had their room and she said: - The gorilla must have a name. - The name of gorilla is Gimp - Èric said – - Yes it is a great name - she said – Èric and Laura decided to go back to Barcelona and Gimp rested in the Amazon with his family. They made a photo album with pictures from the rainforest with Gimp and other plants and animals. The following year, we decided to return to the rainforest, to see Gimp again, but they told us he was dead. Laura started to cry and Èric was also very sad because we wanted to meet him again.

Story of Mamaco

STORY OF MAMACO The story began this way ... First Carla calls Yolanda. Carla: Yolanda! we have to go to a new competition from television,It is fun and the prize is a free trip to New York and second prizes are to the Amazon and Italy! What do you think? Yolanda: I do not know if ... Carla: Come on! It will be fun and we can get some fantastic prizes! After that, at the competition ... Hello! We are here to the contest of “Travel of adventures”, today our participants are Yolanda and Carla, Arianne and the Marine, Alice and Daniella and finally Kelly and Catherine. They were right in almost all the tests except one and Daniela and Alice were succesful in all the questions and won the first prize and Yolanda and Carla won the prize of the Amazon and then, the next day they began to prepare their bags to leave. The next day, we caught the bus that it took us to the aircraft. After that, the plane took off, we had two hours travel until we could reach the Rainforest. Those two hours were very long for us, because we were eager to reach and see the magnificent nature and the orangutans. We had the feeling that this week would be great. We got off the plane, which certainly had splendid views, and we set off, because we wanted to be in the nature. When we arrived at the RainForest, We met a very nice girl about 30 years old and her name was Andrea. She showed us the facilities, which by the way, were very comfortable, and then she introduced us to the orangutans. They were wonderful animals, each had got a characteristic that differed from others. There were 5, all very funny, but what we liked most was one, because he ate bananas jumping in the air. This orangutan, which caught our affection, was very young he was 5 months old , he had intense brown eyes, the color of his hair was dark brown, and a face of "I have never broken a plate." We were going back in two days and it was very sad to say goodbye to him. The next day, Finally, Andrea gave us the small orangutan as a present because she saw that we appreciated this orangutan. We were very happy and we thank her very much. Carla and I decided his name: Mamaco because he was so funny. We had to do many things to get permission to take Mamaco with us to Barcelona. At the end it was possible. We were very happy after that week spent in the Rainforest. By: Yolanda and Carla
